Vanessa started VPhotographic four years ago in Saskatoon, SK where she specialized in creative portraits, still film and production work. Finding that she was in Calgary for shoots and film quite regularly, she decided to make the beautiful city her home; where on top of production work she photographs commercial, event and business and creative portraits.
Two years ago she decided to try her hand at storm photography and headed to Tornado Alley with other storm chasers. That experience was a game changer for her as she saw her first ever tornado and then documented Joplin with media covering the destruction the F5 caused there. National Geographic has acknowledged her work as a storm photographer and one of her images made Photo of the Day while a few others have made Editors Choice. Most recently she has been published in a fellow storm chasers book, has won WorldWide WOW photo contest and had her winning image published in Chatelaine and Photo Life magazines.
