Music in the Rain
This summer has been interesting to say the least. Calgary has seen more rain than I can remember. When holding outdoor events, you hope and pray for great weather. It can be a great source of anxiety for an event planner. But there are times when a show goes on despite the rain which is what happened on Aug. 7 at the House Concert with Amy Wood.
Listening to music in the rain became a refreshing experience. When the crowd of 25 people were given the option half way through the show to move it inside, nobody spoke up. So we continued with blankets, hoods up, and umbrellas. Everybody stayed to enjoy Amy Wood's music.
It turned out to be a really sweet night.
