Calgary born singer, songwriter and pianist Amy Wood is one of those artists who will likely love you just as much as you love her music. Known for her generous spirit as a performer and a songwriter, on top of her stunning ease as a vocalist it’s no surprise Amy Wood was recently voted one of Victoria BC’s Top 5 musicians in CBC Radio’s ‘Hunt for Canada’s Best New Artist. Other highlights in this young artist’s budding caree...r include recognition as a semi-finalist in the annual International Songwriting Competition and as a finalist in the Calgary Folk Festival Songwriting Competition. She has also been highlighted twice on CBC Radio’s ‘This is my music’ as an artist of great potential and unique style by Canada’s renowned classical vocalists Benjamin Butterfield and Daniel Taylor. Amy Wood is a rare breed as a self-taught musician who sought rigorous formal training after high school. She now holds a bachelor of music having studied music at the University of Victoria, University of Calgary and Mount Royal Conservatory. In keeping with her love of music lovers and cozy, quiet concerts, Amy is setting out on a Summer House Concert Tour from Victoria, BC to Toronto, ON this July and August.

This House Concert will take place outdoors in the backyard.
There will be some seating available but you might want to bring a lawn chair.
Beverages will be available for purchase, including Ice Cream Floats.
Feel free to bring snacks but please no outside alcohol.
Admission by donation. Suggested donation $10.
There will be art inside to view/purchase as well.
